Luxury Cave Glamping at The Summit at Big Bend

Stayed two nights last month and two nights this past week. Both trips were great. I messed up my reservation on this trip and had to move to another dome (my fault). The management was very helpful and stayed in the super stargazer the second night. After staying in both stargazers I can honestly say that both are really nice. The convenience of having your own bathroom is nice, but the common facilities are very clean and private. My teenage daughter loved the stars and satellites. I’ve lived in Texas my entire life and had never been to big bend area until June. My daughter and I agreed that this will be a yearly trip for sure if not more. The summit will be our go to lodging. Highly recommended!

I wish we could have stayed longer. Four of us fit perfectly in our dome. The bed was very comfortable. The views are amazing! The restrooms and shower were clean, comfortable, and the water pressure/temperature were great. This place is better than advertised and perfect for families or a romantic getaway. We’ll be back.

AMAZING! Family trip with 2 littles under 5 and we LOVED it. Beautiful tent, amazing bed/linens/pillows, FABULOUS view of the stars and meteor shower. Told the kids it was a Mars vacation on a Mars Colony so we space themed it with our food and toys. AC kept up great at night. Totally worth it. But… they tack on $100 at checkout for cleaning fees so emotional prepare for that when you research costs. Super clean bathrooms! Nice outdoor cooking area. Thoughtful touches throughout. Well done. Can’t wait to go back for a longer stay!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary weekend and we had a great time. The dorms were very spacious and clean. They were located in a great area for sky viewing and had a nice fireplace. It was dry when we went, but i could see some flooding on the path there if it stormed. The toilet and shower areas were also very clean and well maintained. The only suggestions we would make is for the facility to better mark the dorms locations for dorms 3-6. And for our next trip we will definitely bring starter logs for the fire. We got a fire started the first night (after 45 minute), and weren't able to get one started the second night. There are some nice trails to walk and a great view from the Summit, although a 4x4 is needed to get to the top. Great trip, will definitely do again.

This place is a desert paradise. Luxury camping. Dome was spacious with a nice view. The a/c works extremely well even in the hottest part of the day. Very comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. I haven't slept that good in a long time. Room was decorated and felt homey. Dome, restrooms, and showers were very clean, and they seem to work hard to keep it that way. We enjoyed the fire pit and area. The night sky view was amazing! I've never seen anything like it. We could even see the Milky Way. The chairs were perfect for stargazing. Very comfortable. Last but not least, great communication and very friendly. Quick response every single time. They made sure to meet all our needs . Our stay was comfy and peaceful. Hope to come back!
